RBT roles we place
RBT recruiting works best when the search is scoped to your setting, supervision model, and client population - not just the credential.
Registered Behavior Technicians for ABA clinics, center-based programs, and structured DTT environments. Screened for experience in clinic settings, structured skill acquisition, and working closely with supervising BCBAs.
Registered Behavior Technicians for home-based ABA services. We recruit RBTs who are comfortable working independently, partnering with families, and delivering care in home environments.
Registered Behavior Technicians for K-12 schools, special education programs, and IEP teams. Experience working alongside SLPs, OTs, and educators, with state-specific certification requirements verified where needed.
Experienced RBTs ready to take on more responsibility, including peer mentoring, supporting new team members, and managing more complex caseloads. Typically two or more years of direct ABA experience.
Registered Behavior Technicians for early intervention programs serving children ages 0 to 3. Screened for experience with developmental milestones, naturalistic teaching, and family-centered care.
Need to hire another professional? We also recruit BCBAs, BCaBAs, ABA Program Supervisors, and Behavior Analysts for clinics, schools, and behavioral health organizations. Learn more on our ABA Recruiting and BCBA Staffing Agency pages.
What we verify before introducing an RBT candidate
Registered behavior technician staffing requires more than matching a credential to a job title. Before we introduce a candidate, we've verified:
One open RBT position can affect your entire team
An open RBT position doesn't sit quietly on a spreadsheet. Therapy hours shift, supervising BCBAs absorb the caseload, and families start asking questions about their child's program.
Annual RBT turnover averages 65% at mid-size ABA organizations. Replacing one RBT costs $15,000 to $25,000 in recruiting, onboarding, and lost productivity. For a team of 10, that's more than $100,000 in annual replacement costs before you even account for the impact on clients.
One of the biggest reasons RBTs leave is poor fit. A clinic-trained RBT isn't always the right fit for in-home services, and a school-based RBT may struggle in a highly structured DTT program. Matching the right RBT to the right setting helps reduce early turnover.
Vacancies also affect your ability to grow. The BACB requires BCBAs to provide at least 5% ongoing supervision of each RBT's total service hours per month. When an RBT position stays open, that supervision time shifts to the rest of the team or therapy hours go undelivered. Over time, that limits your organization's capacity to take on new clients.

Frequently asked questions
Absolutely. We recruit for all three, and we don't treat them as the same job.
Clinic-based roles usually require experience with structured DTT and center-based supervision. In-home positions require RBTs who are comfortable working independently in family homes. School-based roles often call for experience with IEPs and working alongside SLPs and OTs.
We've seen plenty of strong RBTs struggle simply because they were placed in the wrong setting. That's why we screen for setting fit before introductions - something most RBT agencies skip entirely.
Yes, all the time. If you're looking for an RBT who speaks Spanish or has experience supporting children who use AAC devices, we'll include that in the search from the start.
Those requirements can make the candidate pool smaller, so we like to discuss them during our first conversation. That way we can set realistic expectations on both the timeline and the search.
An RBT staffing agency helps ABA clinics, autism centers, school districts, and behavioral health organizations hire Registered Behavior Technicians. Most RBT agencies rely on job board applications and standard credential checks.
At ExpertHiring, we focus on permanent and contract RBT recruiting. Most of the RBTs we recruit are already working in clinic, in-home, or school-based ABA settings.
It starts with a conversation. We ask about your program, the clients you'll be supporting, the supervision model, and what you're really looking for in an RBT. Once we have that, our recruiters start reaching out to candidates who fit what you need, not just the people actively applying for jobs.
Before we introduce anyone, we verify their BACB credentials and make sure the opportunity is one they're genuinely interested in. Then we coordinate interviews, help with offers, and stay involved until the position is filled.
More than many organizations expect.
The BACB requires BCBAs to provide at least 5% ongoing supervision of each RBT's total service hours. When a position stays open, that work doesn't disappear. It's either redistributed across the team or therapy hours go undelivered.
Over time, that limits your BCBA's capacity to supervise additional RBTs and makes it harder to take on new clients.
We recruit RBTs for ABA clinics, autism centers, multi-site ABA organizations, school districts, charter schools, early intervention programs, in-home ABA providers, and PE-backed ABA platforms.
Every search is built around your setting, client population, and supervision model. An RBT who's successful in one environment isn't always the right fit for another, so we tailor our screening to the role rather than using the same process for every client.
The right RBT for your setting is already working somewhere else
They're credentialed, experienced, and currently seeing clients - not refreshing job boards. Reaching them means going to where they already are.
