Primary care, hospital medicine, behavioral health, and multi-specialty physician recruiting.
Most experienced OR techs are already working in the OR. Our recruiters proactively reach out to cardiac, neuro, and robotic surgery specialists before they're actively considering a move.

The experienced cardiac scrub tech, the neuro OR specialist, the robotic surgery tech who knows da Vinci draping and instrument handling - these candidates do not apply to open postings. They are already in rooms, producing. Before presenting any candidate, we verify:
"We already post on OR job boards. Isn't that enough?"
Job boards are great for reaching surgical techs who are actively looking. But the best candidates usually aren't.
The cardiac scrub tech who's been with the same team for three years, knows every surgeon's preferences, and is doing well in their current role probably isn't browsing job boards after work.
Those are the people we spend our time reaching. Through direct outreach and our network, we connect with experienced surgical techs who wouldn't have applied on their own.
"We need someone quickly. Won't using a recruiter slow things down?"
Hiring fast only helps if you hire the right person. We've seen hospitals fill a cardiac opening with a general surgery tech just to get someone in the room. It solves today's staffing problem, but a few months later they're hiring for the same position again because the fit wasn't right.
We'd rather spend a little extra time finding someone who matches your service line from the start. Most of our searches produce a first shortlist within seven to ten business days, and every candidate is screened before they're introduced, so your team spends time interviewing people who can actually do the job.

The certification most employers look for is the CST (Certified Surgical Technologist), issued by NBSTSA. To earn it, candidates must complete an ARC-STSA accredited program and pass the national certification exam. Most hospitals and surgery centers either require a CST or strongly prefer it. Some facilities still recognize the TS-C, a legacy credential previously issued by ASCP that is no longer awarded to new candidates but remains valid for existing holders.
If you're hiring a surgical first assistant, the credential you're looking for is the CSFA, also issued by NBSTSA. It requires additional training and clinical experience beyond the CST.
Yes, and we'll ask about both during screening. If a role requires experience with a specific implant system, such as Stryker, Zimmer Biomet, DePuy Synthes or Medtronic, we look for candidates who've worked with those systems before. We also ask about surgeon preference cards because familiarity usually comes from working with the same surgeons over time, not from rotating through different ORs.
We'll tell you as soon as we know. If there aren't enough experienced cardiac OR techs or neurosurgery scrub techs in your area, we won't let the search drag on for weeks before bringing it up.
We'll talk through your options early, whether that's expanding the search to candidates willing to relocate or using contract coverage while we continue recruiting for a permanent hire.
We recruit surgical techs across a wide range of specialties, including orthopedics, trauma, joint replacement, cardiac, cardiovascular, neurosurgery, general surgery, vascular, OB/GYN, plastics, reconstructive surgery, urology, ENT, and ophthalmology.
If your OR uses the da Vinci robotic platform, we also look for candidates with robotic surgery experience. For most OR directors, specialty experience matters just as much as certification. That's why we build every search around the types of procedures your team performs.
Surgical technologist staffing starts with understanding your specialty, workflow, and the experience your OR requires.
